The 2024 Honda HR-V will come next year, featuring a completely new look. Based on recently shown renderings, the forthcoming SUV will look way more attractive than before, and it should share many design elements with other Honda models.
The outgoing generation was a good value, but the restyled model will likely get many changes to compete with the segment’s best models such as the Hyundai Kona, the Kia Seltos, and the Mazda CX-30. From what we know, a potent engine will be introduced, but we aren’t sure yet if there will be a turbocharged or naturally aspirated variety.
2024 Honda HR-V Design
As we said, Honda’s smallest crossover will be completely redesigned for the next year. The new 2024 Honda HR-V from renderings looks very handsome and is more attractive than before. First of all, we noticed a new grille with a new pattern and headlights that use LEDs. Some openings are also visible below the grille, but we didn’t notice fog lights.
On the other hand, the hood of the upcoming SUV is new, featuring more sporty lines. We also have one image from behind where Honda also made some changes, adding new taillights and bumper. The side profile is no less attractive, and we expect to see a vast number of wheels and tires.
Interior
Unlike the outgoing SUV model, the upcoming 2024 Honda HR-V is likely to adopt a more modern interior design. Probably, the cabin of this SUV will be inspired by the recently redesigned Civic model. So, expect the same touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
The European version of the HR-V, from the information that’s available, will come with a dashboard that should handle larger infotainment than the current 7.0-inch screen. Also, buyers can expect standard niceties such as onboard Wi-Fi, SiriusXM radio, and in-dash navigation as well. Honda sensing should also be available with more standard driver-assistance technology.
2024 Honda HR-V Powertrain Specs
As you probably know, the Honda HR-V in Europe is powered by a hybrid powertrain borrowed from the Insight and Accord hybrid cars. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t announced what engine will be available under the hood of the model that goes on sale in North America.
Our hope is that Honda will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that should produce 158-hp. The current Civic’s 180-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder is another possibility or even more powerful. There’s no word yet of the fuel economy ratings, but we are hoping that Honda will particularly offer efficient ones.
2024 Honda HR-V Release Date, Price
The new Honda HR-V will reportedly arrive next year as 2024YM. We also got information that we can expect it to be available in four trim levels. The base LX trim, from a trusted source, will be around $23,000, while the Sport could cost $25,000.
There are also two upper trims, including EX that might start at $26,000, while the most expensive EX-L could be about $2000 more or $28,000. Compered to the current generation, the pricing for the 2024 HR-V shouldn’t increase too much.
