Considering that the 2022 model is postponed reportedly, the Civic will arrive at dealerships next spring as a 2023 model.
From the first spy shots, the Honda Civic design has adopted a more mature look than before. The new model features cleaner surfaces and proportionally is the same as the outgoing version. As for the powertrains, they are likely to be carried from the current model. That means buyers could get a choice of 1.5- and 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-4s. Powertrain Specs
Under the hood, the latest 2023 Honda Civic will continue to deploy the same engines as its predecessor. There are exactly three of them. The base model uses a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder that produces 158 horses. This engine is available with LX and Sport sedan models. However, all the hatchback in EX, EX-L trim, and Touring are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre 4-cylinder that makes 174 horsepower.
Finally, the most powerful Civic Type R comes with a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that sends 306 horsepower to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
2023 Honda Civic Release Date, Price
Reportedly, the refreshed Honda Civic has been postponed for the next year due to a Coronavirus outbreak. The new model would bring some improvements according to the latest spy shots. Besides small exterior changes, the latest version should also introduce a more modern cabin and many standard features.
Pricing has not yet available, but from what we saw, expect slightly higher figures. The current sedan starts at $21,250, plus a $955 destination charge. Moreover, the price can go up to 28,300 for a topline Touring sedan.
