2025 Honda Ridgeline Redesign: Everything You Should Know

Although everyone talks about Ford Maverick and its unibody design these days, the fact is that Honda has been practicing the unibody design approach for nearly two decades. Moreover, the Ridgeline is bigger and more upscale, so we are pretty sure that its position on the market won’t be affected, especially if we consider that the sales numbers have been at the same level for years. Now, it looks like it’s time for changes, as the first batch of digital rendering photos appeared on the network. This clearly indicates the new generation should come soon and most sources suggest the next year. The 2025 Honda Ridgeline would come with all kinds of updates and now, we finally have clues about its design.

Of course, the updated styling wouldn’t be the only upgrade for the next year. We also count on new mechanics, with improved ride quality and overall performance, while the interior will also come all-new. As for the powertrain, we expect evolutionary changes only.

2025 Honda Ridgeline Design

This will be a full redesign, a redesign that will bring the third generation of the pickup. The well-known artist behind Digimods Design came up with the first digital renders of the new model and things look very promising. These images show a way more rugged design, with a completely new front end that takes inspiration from the recently redesigned Pilot. The two models always had a lot in common, so this styling seems quite logical.

Of course, not only aesthetics will be shared. We could on a lot of mechanical parts shared as well. This pickup will continue with its unique approach, as the only unibody pickup truck in the mid-size class. The chassis and suspension setup should be updated and offer even more impressive ride quality, even though the current model is already an absolute class leader in this aspect.

A smooth and comfortable ride, along with engaging handling will remain the model’s key selling points. On the other hand, the unibody design will bring familiar drawbacks, which mostly reflect in terms of towing capacity. Such a platform, in a combination with all-wheel-drive, shouldn’t bring significant improvements over the current model, which can tow up to 5.000 pounds.

Interior

As for interior design, the Ridgeline has always been known for comfort and convenience, something that you wouldn’t normally expect from a pickup. We expect exactly the same thing from the new generation, which should once again come exclusively in a crew cab layout, with plenty of passenger room, good driving position and an overall layout that’s more appropriate to a modern SUV than a pickup.

Of course, expectations are high in terms of interior quality as well. At this point, it’s still early for more precise predictions but we are pretty sure that a lot of parts will be shared with the Pilot, including the dashboard. We count on the same layout, with the same or similar tech and convenience features, including a new infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster and other parts that make this cabin look very car-like.

2025 Honda Ridgeline Engine

This aspect shouldn’t bring significant changes. We expect that the next-generation 2025 Honda Ridgeline will continue with the well-known 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is well-known for its smoothness and great power delivery. Just like in the case of Pilot, we would probably see a minor power increase, from 280 to 285 horsepower. Another thing to mention is the new transmission. Namely, the current 9-speed unit should be replaced with the new 10-speed automatic transmission, which should make the ride quality even better.

We don’t expect to see variants with front-wheel-drive only. Instead, the all-wheel drive should be standard in all models, and with such a setup, the towing capacity should go around 5.000 pounds, or maybe slightly more. Most mid-size pickups with a classic body-on-frame platform can tow over 7.000 pounds.

2025 Honda Ridgeline Release Date and Price

These are just the first, unofficial digital renderings, but they clearly indicate that the next generation is in the works and that it will bring further improvements to this already great design. If we can trust unofficial reports, the next generation will most likely arrive sometime in 2024, as the 2025 Honda Ridgeline, and we presume that base models could cost around 40.000 dollars.
