Honda has been present on the Chinese market for decades and it’s been selling uniquely-named models, which are pretty much rebadged variants of more familiar nameplates that are used in other parts of the world. The Inspire is a typical example. This model has been exclusive to the Chinese market for years but all generations were closely related to the U.S.-market Accord. The next model won’t be any different, as the 6th generation of the nameplate will be pretty much the same car as the recently-introduced 11th generation of Accord. The new model will arrive in the second half of the year, as the 2024 Honda Inspire.
So, we expect evolutionary changes in the new model, with a familiar design approach but updates in various aspects, starting from the new styling, completely new interior design etc. Of course, new tech features will be implemented too, while the powertrain, on the other hand, will be carried on without bigger changes.
2024 Honda Inspire Design
So, this redesign will bring mostly evolutionary changes, as we’ve just mentioned. We expect to see pretty much the same overall design as in the new Accord, with minor tweaks in terms of aesthetics. Of course, the most obvious difference will be at the front, where the 2024 Honda Inspire will feature a different, more aggressive grille design, along with a different bumper shape. On the other hand, the headlights will look pretty much the same. The rear end will utilize different taillights designs.
The overall shape will be the same, while the minor difference of +0.4 inches in total length is there because of the different bumper designs. Mechanical differences aren’t expected, and this refers to the suspension and chassis design too, so the ride quality should be pretty similar to the U.S. Accord.
Interior
We still didn’t have a chance to take a look inside the new 2024 Honda Inspire but we presume that things will once again look pretty much the same as in the U.S. sibling. Therefore, we expect to see a completely new dashboard design, with a classic layout, full of clean, horizontal lines. The overall quality seems pretty good, while there is also a pretty generous offer of tech features. All models should come standard with a large 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. On the other hand, base models would probably feature a 7-inch infotainment screen, while the 12.3-inch unit would be offered as an option.
Considering that we are already familiar with the new Accord, we know that the new Inspire will offer a pretty spacious cabin, with two rows of seats that both accommodate adults with ease. Furthermore, the trunk should offer around 15.5 cubic feet of space.
2024 Honda Inspire Engines
As we already mentioned, no bigger surprises are expected under the hood. Therefore, base models should come with a familiar 1.5-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 190 horsepower and comes coupled with a CVT.
On the other hand, the hybrid version will utilize a new system, which offers a combined output of 204 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque. However, it works in a much different way than the previous-generation hybrid system. The new one uses electric motors much more, while the gasoline engine engages only under heavy acceleration. We presume this will reflect in much better fuel economy.
2024 Honda Inspire Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2024 Honda Inspire will arrive in the second half of the year. The more precise date, as well as details about the price, are yet to be announced.
