2024 Honda Civic Type R Design
Judging by the latest spy photos, the 2024 Honda Civic Type R will not significantly differ from its predecessor. Of course, the manufacturer will make some refreshments to keep up to date on this car. Despite the heavily camouflage we menged to see some changes.
First of all, the look of the Type R is more over-stylized compared to its predecessor and we noticed a new set of headlights. Also, the new high-performance hatch is wearing a new rear wing and aggressive wheels and tires.
Sporty Interior
The upcoming Honda Civic Type R will have a sportier interior design than its predecessor. Moreover, we’re expecting the new set of very comfy and supportive front seats. From the information that we got, the Civic Type R will also come with many red accents, faux carbon-fiber trim, and a digital gauge cluster.
Honda’s latest infotainment system will run reportedly through a 9.0-inch touchscreen mounted on top of the dashboard. Besides, expect the new Type R to come with standard features such as wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless smartphone charging.
2024 Honda Civic Type R Engine Specs
The new Honda Civic Type R will probably continue to use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, but it’ll be more powerful than the current generation makes. For those who may not know, this powertrain is capable of producing 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
So, we’re expecting at least 400+ horsepower on the new one. The mightiest Civic will still have a standard manual transmission, and the manufacturer might also add a dual-clutch automatic.
2024 Honda Civic Type R Price, Release Date
The new Honda Civic Type R has been spied testing wearing a distinct rear wing and aggressive wheel-and-tire package. From the latest report, the Civic Type R has been delayed for the next year, so we’re expecting sales to start in the fall of 2023.
At the moment, Honda didn’t reveal how much the new high-performance model could cost. Anyway, we presume that it will start at just under $40,000 when it goes on sale. Compared to the regular Civic, the Civic Type R cost around $15,000 and nearly $12,000 more than a Civic Si sedan. However, the VW Golf R starts higher, while the Hyundai Veloster N starts lower at $26,600.
