The long-awaited spy photos of the future 2024 Acura Integra Type S are finally out, as the new sedan was seen testing on public roads. The new vehicle is totally camouflaged, but its profile shows that it has a new front end with a big grille.
However, the rear of this sedan was the thing that truly gave this car an aggressive look. Many people think that the exhaust tips are definitely a sign that the car beneath the camo is the Integra Type S, hiding its true identity. It is worth mentioning that the triple exhaust is identical to those on the Honda Civic Type R.
2024 Acura Integra Type S Design
The new 2024 Acura Integra Type S has an appearance that is rather menacing. This shouldn’t come as a surprise given that it is built on the same platform as the Civic Type R. Moreover, it also borrows many of its styling elements.
Although the spy images don’t offer much, we were able to get a good look at the redesigned front end, which has a big grille. In addition to that, the trunk of this sedan was the component that was responsible for giving the automobile its genuinely menacing appearance. On top of that, the Integra Type S rear has been updated with a new triple exhaust. The similar one we have seen on the Honda Civic Type R.
Interior Rumors
Despite the fact that the 2024 Acura Type S is not an exact replica of the regular model, it will features a unique interior. However, the honeycomb pattern that is seen on the air vents and the three knobs that are used to adjust the temperature seem to be comparable in both versions.
The same can be said about the tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system that protrudes from the dashboard. The Integra also seems to have seats that are distinct from those of the Civic Type R. The seats in this particular version are upholstered in leather and have a black color scheme with red stitching.
Engine Specs
The engine that will power the Integra Type S will most likely be borrowed from the Civic Type R. This vehicle will continue to be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. However, this time the power output has been raised to 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
This is done thanks to a reworked turbocharger and a more efficient exhaust system. On the other hand, the Japanese version receives a total of 325 ponies.
2024 Acura Integra Type S Price, Release Date
Acura has not disclosed any information on the pricing of the Integra Type S as of this point in time. In general, we believe that the price will be a bit more in comparison to the Civic Type R. The current model starts at a little bit less than $40,000. The sedan will go on sale sometime next year, while its debut is likely to happen in the coming months.
