2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Spied Testing Heavily Camouflaged

The redesigned 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid is expected to debut next year, featuring a more modern-looking design. According to first spy photos, an all-new generation sports a more attractive grille design, black wheels, and new front and rear LED lightings.

The latest prototype has been spied testing in Germany and is heavily camouflaged. Honda stated recently that the new generation would be available with both gasoline and hybrid powertrains. Many believe that an electric version may be on the offer as well, and it could debut after the release of the new 2023 Honda Prologue SUV electric vehicle.

2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Design

As mentioned, the new 2023 Honda CR-V has been caught testing a few days ago heavily camouflaged in Germany. The camouflaged test vehicle looks almost the same as the outgoing model, but we managed to notice some changes with further analysis.

The spied model comes with a modern-looking grille design and with attractive black wheels. Also, front and rear LED lighting elements are revised, and they are looking more visible. Proportionally, the future Honda CR-V looks larger in length, which could also mean Honda plans to drop an optional third-row of seats. If that happens, the new CR-V will get some new rivals like the Mitsubishi Outlander and Volkswagen Tiguan.

Interior Is Spacious and Modern

On the inside, the 2023 Honda CR-V is stylish and spacious, made of quality materials. It features a class-leading cargo volume and luggage space to fit ten carry-on suitcases behind the rear seat. Stepping into, you’ll find a tasteful balance of faux-wood accents, chromed plastic, and brushed-satin finishes. Seats are more supportive, providing maximum comfort on a long ride.

On the technology side, the Base LX model comes now with a much bigger 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The Honda also comes standard with a suite of driver-assistance technology, including standard forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Specs

The new 2023 Honda CR-V will be available with both gasoline and hybrid powertrains. The current CR-V Hybrid is available with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors. Thanks to that, this model produces a combined 212 horsepower. Its also fuel-efficient, delivering 40 mpg city and 35 highway. However, the Toyota RAV4 hybrid is a model in the same class, providing 41/38 mpg city/highway.

Besides the engines above, there is also a huge possibility that the electric version could happen. This unity might debut after the upcoming 2023 Prologue SUV model.
