More rumors about the upcoming Honda Prologue are available every day, and the latest one reveals some interesting facts. It seems that the new 2023 Honda Prologue will hit stores sometime next year, featuring very competitive look. Honda hasn’t released any information on the upcoming vehicle yet, but we expect the new Prologue to come as the mid-size SUV.
From what we heard, the vehicle will use the same Ultium battery packs as many future GM EVs. The batteries will be also available on the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV models. So, we can expect Prologue to incorporate the same 100-kWh battery as the Lyriq. If that happens, expect a driving range of around 300 miles per charge.

The upcoming Honda’s EVs will look very different despite sharing many mechanical pieces with the Lyriq model. Some of the renderings emerged, and the concept model looks much more stylish. We’ve been told the Honda Prologue will be designed at Honda’s design studio in Los Angeles to meet all the expectations of North American customers.
Interestingly, the Prologue will be developed in partnership with General Motors. It will use the latest GM’s flexible BEV3 electric vehicle architecture and Ultium battery management system. If you didn’t know, the same system would be used on the forthcoming 2022 GMC Hummer EV full-size pickup, GMC Hummer EV SUV, Chevrolet Silverado electric pickup truck, and the Cadillac Lyriq SUV.
Cabin Features
Like in the case with the exterior styling, there is no available information about the cabin of the upcoming 2023 Honda Prologue. However, considering that this model will use the latest GM’s flexible EV architecture, we should expect a pretty comfortable cabin.
In general, Honda’s strategy is clear, and they make only durable and quality cars, so don’t expect less with the Prologue. Nevertheless, the Prologue is the first crossover in the world that will be able to place two batteries under the floor thanks to its platform. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet if this will sacrifice some interior space or not.
