The new 2023 Honda Passport Hybrid is spied for the first time. As we can see, this model looks more rugged than the regular one. The spotted prototype featured limited camouflage on both ends, revealing some changes.
First of all, the front fascia looks much better, and the new Passport’s philosophy is inspired by the Ridgeline pickup truck. We noticed immediately that the upcoming SUV is wearing an all-new grille with a mesh design, a new front bumper, and re-designed turn signals and fog lights. On top of that, the new model will be powered by the proven 3.5-liter V6 connected to a mild hybrid system.

As mentioned, the new 2023 Honda Passport is getting some updates for the 2023 model year and has been spied testing with mild camo. The spotted model looks no less rugged than the Ridgeline pickup truck. Firstly, Honda’s designers have done a great job with this SUV, and we like the all-new grille with a mesh design similar to the rugged Honda Ridgeline.
Basically, the manufacturer facelifted this model, and they added a new front bumper that looks chunkier with re-designed turn signals and fog lights. Some minor changes are also present on the back, and the Passport will get a new bumper and red taillight lenses.
Interior Features
The 2023 Honda Passport will include some new technology features. This model should provide the same comfortable interior as before, including an 8-inch infotainment system. On top of that, Honda added more standard features across trims to keep up with its rivals. Interior storage is around 77.9 cubic feet, which is more than the Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Nissan Murano. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration comes standard as the tri-zone automatic climate controls and a 7-speaker audio setup.

2023 Honda Passport Hybrid Specs
Under the hood, the new 2023 Honda Passport Hybrid will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 using a hybrid system. The regular model comes without a hybrid system, and it produces 280 hp and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. However, as far as we know, the hybrid model will provide 300 horses, and it will be available with excellent battery capacity.
Like before, we can expect the Passport to use the same 9-speed automatic transmission. The V6 engine comes with variable cylinder management, Eco Assist, and a stop/restart function when idling to save some fuel.
Release Date and Price
The forthcoming 2023 Honda Passport Hybrid is spied testing with some mild camo. As far as we know, the new model should arrive next year with many innovations.
Alongside the hybrid model, the manufacturer will also introduce the regular one. The entry-level, front-drive Passport Sport will start at $33,710, while the hybrid one should be a few thousand dollars more.
