Honda will reportedly introduce in the coming months another electric car alongside the Honda E hatchback. The upcoming 2023 Honda E-SUV will share plenty of cues with the hatch variant, including outside and inside elements. Also, both models will be built on the same platform, but we expect some modifications regarding the SUV variant.
Technically, the SUV model should also be launched with a much larger battery capacity. The current Honda E has a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and can achieve little less than 140 miles on a single charge. It also comes with either a 136 or 154 hp electric motor sticked on the rear axle.
2023 Honda E-SUV Exterior
The all-new 2023 Honda E-SUV wears the latest Honda’s design language. The first images of the concept model are available, and it boasts both elegant lines and a futuristic look. We expect its production version to look pretty the same and to share many cues with the upcoming Honda E hatchback.
As we’ve reported, both models will use the same platform, while the SUV variant should get some modification. These two vehicles under the GM-Honda partnership will use GM’s Ultium battery technology, which should provide an excellent driving range. The battery will fit under the floor, and it will support fast charging.
Cabin Features
Honda didn’t give any details regarding the interior of the upcoming E SUV. However, we should not expect a less comfortable cabin than in other electric SUVs. Many believe it will feature a completely new interior, featuring a much bigger screen than the Honda electric hatchback. Also, we expect better materials as well as a few trim levels.
The manufacturer will most likely use the latest version of Connect infotainment system, which will enable over-the-air software updates and offers voice recognition technology. The new SUV will come with the Honda Sensing suite package of advanced driver-assist technologies like all upcoming cars. This package includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist, and so on.
2023 Honda E-SUV Motor and Battery Specs
At this point, there is no information regarding the engine of the 2023 Honda E SUV. Many believe that it will share the same battery capacity as the Honda E model. However, we are thinking otherwise, and we expect a much larger capacity.

Release Date and Price
According to Honda, we should expect the arrival of the 2023 Honda E SUV to happen sometime next year. The manufacturer will probably first introduce the long-awaited Honda E model, and after that, we can expect an SUV variant.
