Touted as one of the best supercars in the class, the new 2023 Acura NSX will definitively be capable to rival models such as the Audi R8 or the McLaren 570S. While its performance is impressive, it isn’t as mind-blowing as the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Like the previous generation, the new Acura NSX is hybrid-electric powered, and it combines a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 with three electric motors. Combined, this model is delivering a total of 573 horsepower, which is pretty good. However, the manufacturer will make some changes for the next year, and NSX will receive some upgrades outside and inside.
2023 Acura NSX Facelift, Colors
The exterior of the new 2023 Acura NSX is fresh thanks to a new color. Basically, this sportscar features the same design language as its predecessor with minor upgrades. From the information that we got, the manufacture will revise the front fascia adding new headlights graphic.
Acura is adding a new Long Beach Blue color to the list of paint colors. Alongside, the NSX hybrid supercar also includes Berlina Black and Indy Yellow. On top of that, Acura will bring back bright blue exterior paint from the first-generation car, and it’ll cost an additional $1000.
Cabin Luxury
Finally, the cabin of the new 2023 Acura NSX is providing a premium feel and more luxurious amenities. Acura made this car to compete with the best from England and Germany. Inside, there is enough room for two passengers, and the seats are very comfortable. We prefer optional leather-and-faux-suede seats, a faux-suede headliner, and a carbon-fiber-trimmed steering wheel.
The NSX’s interior includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated navigation and ELS Studio nine-speaker stereo. Considering that the current model lacks driver-assistance features, the manufacturer will probably make this car more safety. So, expect a vast number of standard driver-assistance features such as road-departure mitigation, a lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor, a rear cross-traffic monitor, and a driver attention monitor.
2023 Acura NSX Powertrain Specs
When it comes to powertrain, the new 2023 Acura NSX will for sure use the same engine as its predecessor. That means we can expect once again a hybrid-electric powertrain. The system consists of a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 with three electric motors, producing 573 horsepower. The current model with the same engine is managed to achieve 60 mph in just 3.1-second.
On top of that, it uses a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and one of the electric motors works teamed with rear wheels. Hybrid vehicles are more efficient than gasoline rivals, and the NSX is no different.
Release Date and Price
The much sportier 2023 Acura NSX is expected to arrive next year. Besides a more eye-catching front fascia, the new model will also come with a refreshed cabin.
Otherwise, it certainly outpaces some key rivals such as the Audi R8 or the McLaren 570S, offering a more powerful engine. However, like the current generation, the NSX is not an affordable car at all. This model is only available in one trim level, and it starts at little less than $160,000.
