According to the latest media reports, the new version of the 2022 Acura TLX PMC Edition is coming. This hand-built sedan is based on the popular TLX model and is stocked with blistering power and innovative technology. Generally, this unique model is well known by its Valencia Red Pearl paint, delivering stunning effect.
Like the NSX supercar, the TLX PMC Edition comes with the same high-tech clean interior, providing enough room for all passengers. Acura’s current-generation TLX also offers excellent premium materials and technology, but not as much as the PMC Edition. The new performance sedan will probably debut sometime this year, starting at more than $50k.

The new 2022 Acura TLX PMC Edition is a sedan that is based on the famous TLX model. The 2022 Acura TLX PMC Edition’s interior refreshments will finally happen, and we should expect more premium materials. However, like the current generation, the new one will come with the same layout. The current PMC features nicely Ultrasuede trimmed sport seats with red contrast stitching, which will most likely be transferred to the new one.
However, as we mentioned, Acura will add more premium materials, and it will probably significantly refresh outdated techs. That means we can expect larger central screens. The lower display on the current model controls audio and climate-control functions, while the upper one navigation and the Android Auto/Apply CarPlay interface.
Familiar Engine Powers the new 2022 Acura TLX PMC Edition
The upcoming 2022 Acura TLX PMC Edition draws power from a very potent engine. Like the V-6 SH-AWD model, the new PMC Edition uses the same 3.5-liter V-6 delivering 290-hp. This engine comes with nine-speed automatic transmission, and it comes standard with a Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive.
However, rumor has it that the Acura will bring back the Type S performance variant, making it more powerful. From some early reports, the Type S model might uses a new potent twin-turbo V-6 engine connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Release Date and Price
The new version of the 2022 Acura TLX PMC Edition will receive some refreshments and the same engine as the predecessor.
From many news, the forthcoming PMC model will most likely hit the markets at the beginning of the next year, starting at around $50k, which is $15,000 more than the regular TLX sedan.
