2023 Honda Pilot EV Rumored to Use the Same Ultium Battery as the Cadillac Lyriq

The new 2023 Honda Pilot EV has been rumored, and we have some interesting information about the upcoming SUV. As you probably may know, so far, the Honda Pilot has traditionally come with a large gasoline engine, but we’re expecting electrification to happen as well. From information that we got, the new Pilot will get the same electrification as the upcoming Prologue model.

That means we can expect it to use the same Ultium battery that will also power Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV. If the Pilot incorporates the same 100-kWh battery as the Prologue model, you can count on a driving range of around 300 miles per charge.

2023 Honda Pilot EV Design

On the appearance side, we think that the design of the 2023 Honda Pilot EV will slightly differ from the regular model. Dimensionally, it should remain unchanged with the same length of 194.5 inches, wheelbase of 111.0 in, and width of 78.6 in.

However, considering the EV will ride on the new platform that can handle large batteries, we expect some modifications as well. First of all, the design of this SUV will change a bit, and we expect to see the similar front end as we saw on recently introduced Honda models. That means it would feature a revised grille and a new pair of LED headlights.

Cabin Features

We expect the 2023 Honda Pilot EV to offer a more modern cabin than the non-EV model. So, the design inside will be boosted with more quality materials and probably with more advanced technologies. In general, the current Honda Pilot, even choosing the entry-level model, features a great package of standard equipment.

We presume that the EV model will also match the Touring trim. That means we can expect at least 10.2-inch high-res screen, WiFi hotspot, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, tri-zone automatic climate control, plus the full-Honda Sensing safety suite. Safety features of the current Pilot include forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, road departure mitigation, and also an automatic high beams.
