Unlike the traditional version, the top-level Black Edition features more attractive styling thanks to many black accents. If you didn’t know, the Ridgeline is a unique truck in its class, featuring independent suspension and unibody construction. 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition Design
The body shape of the 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black won’t change at all. In general, the same lines are present as on the base model.
As its name suggests, the Black Edition features many dark design elements. Thanks to that, this model will be separated from any other Ridgeline model. The Black Edition package includes blacked-out 18-inch wheels, a black grille, and black exterior trim. Anyway, all the Ridgeline models are featuring independent suspension and unibody construction.
Interior Details
On the inside, the 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition will look more attractive thanks to black accents. Like the Pilot Black Edition the Ridgeline comes with supportive black leather seats, eye-catchy red ambient LED interior lighting, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Moreover, like the original version, the Black Edition also comes with the same 8-inch infotainment screen but with better graphics. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and all trim levels include attractive contrast stitching seats.
2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition Engine
Like the all-previous Ridgeline models, the new one will also come with the same engine. Under the hood is a proven 3.5-liter V6 sending 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. The engine also uses a 9-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles, providing very smooth changing gears.
According to the manufacturer, the torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system now can send more than 70% of the power to the rear wheels for added stability. Although this model also has a fuel-saving cylinder deactivation and an automatic stop/start system, saving some fuel. In general, the Honda Ridgeline is not such a fuel-efficient truck. It’s only rated at 18 mpg in the EPA city test, which you must admit is pretty bad. As before, the new one will have the same towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
Price, Release Date
As we mentioned, the forthcoming 2023 Honda Ridgeline will be available in a few trim levels. The entry-level Honda Ridgeline Sport, that comes with standard AWD, starts at little less than $37,000. However, if you go for a better-equipped RTL model, the price will jump to 39,870, while the RTL-E starts at $42,800.
The top-level Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is the most expensive, starting at $44,320. Other pickups that are in the same line with the Ridgeline truck are the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, and Chevrolet Colorado. At this moment, there is no exact debut date, but we are sure that it will arrive later this year.
