2023 Honda Odyssey Black Edition Is the New Top-Line Trim

The 2023 Honda Odyssey Black Edition is the new top-line package that will transform the popular minivan to look sportier than ever. For those who may not know, the Honda Odyssey is arguably the most desirable minivan on the market. This minivan looks attractive, featuring a very comfortable and modern cabin.

However, it still doesn’t offer a hybrid variant or all-wheel drive like the Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Pacifica, but it has its own uniqueness, which makes it special. The Black Edition will transform this minivan into a darker-looking one, and the same treatment we saw on the models like the CR-V, Pilot, and Ridgeline.

2023 Honda Odyssey Black Edition Design

Unlike the original Honda Odyssey, the Black Edition model will get more darkened elements. Thanks to that, the Odyssey looks sportier, featuring a gloss-black finish visible on the grille, headlight trim, fog light surrounds, door mirrors, B-pillar, C-pillar and taillight trim.

On top of that, the manufacturer added new 19-inch wheels that are also painted in black, just like the darkened taillights. As far as we know, there will be three body colors available with a new Odyssey including Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, and Sonic Grey Pearl.

Interior Changes

Just like the exterior, the interior of the 2023 Honda Odyssey Black Edition will come with darkened elements. As we said, the Black Edition is the new top-line model which is slotting above the Touring. Inside, you will get black leather with sporty red contrast stitching that covers the steering wheel along with roof pillars and headliner that are also black.

The new minivan will also come as standard with heated/cooled front seats, navigation, rear-seat entertainment system, 11-speaker audio unit, and Wi-Fi hot spot. Just like all Honda Odyssey models, the Black Edition will come with the same 10.2-inch high-resolution WSVGA screen.

2023 Honda Odyssey Black Edition Release Date, Price

We’re expecting the new Black Edition to debut later this year, featuring more attractive styling than the other trims. As we mentioned, the Black Edition is the new top-line model that’s slotting above the popular Touring trim. Beside Odyssey, the manufacturer also used the same treatment on the models CR-V, Pilot, and Ridgeline.

Speaking of sales, the current Odyssey is neck and neck with the Kia Carnival. As we wait for the official pricing, many assume that the new minivan will have a base MSRP of $45,590. The Black Edition is the most expensive model that costs around $58,600, which is two grand above the Touring version.
