2024 Honda Prologue EV: Rumors, Specs, Release Date, and Price

The all-electric 2024 Honda Prologue EV will arrive sometime next year offering versatility and excellent driving range. In case you didn’t know, Honda signed a new partnership with General Motors, and we can expect the upcoming Prologue to share many cues with GMC models as well.

Unfortunately, Honda hasn’t released much info about the upcoming vehicle yet, but from what we hear so far, the new model will come in either a compact or mid-size SUV. Despite sharing the same platform and powertrains with other GM EVs, the new Prologue will also borrow the same Ultium battery packs from the Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV.

2024 Honda Prologue EV Design

On the cosmetic side, the latest renderings of the upcoming 2024 Honda Prologue EV reveal a very sleek exterior profile. In general, the new model shares many design cues with other Honda cars and SUVs.

However, unlike before, the platform will be produced by General Motors as a result of a premium partnership between the two manufacturers. So, we can expect the Prologue to ride on the same platform as the Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV.

Cabin Rumors

We expect the new 2024 Honda Prologue EV cabin to be very modern and comfortable. According to first renderings, the upcoming SUV will come in form as a 2-row seater, fitting up to five passengers. We also assume some combination of techs from GM and Honda.

This means buyers can expect a very large infotainment system and features that should come standard as Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, satellite radio, a few USB ports, 3-zone automatic climate control, plus the full-Honda Sensing array of driver assistance features. Safety features that come also with many Honda models include forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, road departure mitigation, and automatic high beams.

2024 Honda Prologue EV Motor Specs

As we mentioned, the new 2024 Honda Prologue shares the same platform and powertrains with other GM EVs. According to many reports, the new Prologue will use the same Ultium battery packs as the Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV.

If those rumors come true, the Prologue could incorporate the same 100-kWh battery as the Lyriq. So, expect a driving range of around 300 miles per charge. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet if this model comes as standard with all-wheel or what transmission will be used.

How Much Will the 2024 Honda Prologue EV Cost?

Honda hasn’t released any information regarding the Prologue’s pricing or trim levels yet. Anyway, we expect the new model to be around $45,000 for the base model and to go up from there. Many believe that Honda’s traditional LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels are likely to be available on the new Prologue, which makes sense.

The 2024 Honda Prologue is an all-new battery-electric SUV that will reach the market sometime in 2023. It will employ the same Ultium batteries used in the Cadillac Lyriq and Hummer EV.
