2022 Acura MDX A-Spec Full Review

The Acura MDX is one of the best-selling premium three-row crossovers in its segment. This model is offered in a few trims, and the most favorite is the A-Spec. Reportedly, the new 2022 Acura MDX A-Spec will bring more sporty styling than before, and most importantly, a more premium cabin. However, like the regular model, the A-Spec version will deploy the same engine.

This SUV comes with a proven 3.5-liter V6 unit that is capable of producing 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet. On top of that, Acura this time used a more smother and modified 10-speed automatic transmission. The new luxury SUV will arrive in the last quarter of the year, featuring mild upgrades.

2022 Acura MDX A-Spec Design

Compared to the predecessor, the new 2022 Acura MDX features many upgrades. This SUV looks attractive, and it comes with a familiar face. It’s recognized mostly on the front, featuring Acura’s famous “Diamond Pentagon” grille that marks a massive improvement over its predecessor.

However, by choosing the sporty A-Spec package, buyers will get a more comprehensive upgrade. This model will gain a black dot body courtesy with a refinished rear that sports sleek LED taillights and trapezoidal exhaust tips. On top of that, 20-inch Shark Grey wheels are exclusive to A-Spec trim, and they are our favorite. Besides, the manufacturer also offers seven different wheel options.

Interior Upgrades

The interior of the new 2022 Acura MDX A-Spec is eye-catching. This unique trim features more premium materials than the original one. It comes with exclusive red leather and faux suede black accents, resulting in a more upscale look. Behind the MDX’s third row is 16.3 cubic feet of cargo space, while the second and third-row folded flat opens 71.4 cubes of cargo space. Generally, that’s much better figures than you can get on the Q7, but down slightly on the QX60 and XT6.

For 2022, the MDX A-Spec dashboard is restyled, and on top, the Acura added a new 12.3-inch screen. As the standard equipment, the MDX A-Spec also includes 10.5-inch head-up display, a surround-view camera, and door handles with LED lighting.
