Unlike the sedan version that comes with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder producing 158-horsepower, the new 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4. This engine makes 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft, but it gets a slight boost of 180 horses and 177 lb-ft on the trims, Sport and Sport Touring.
All hatchback variants are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. Also, as before, this model uses a front-wheel-drive as the only option, just like many other rivals in the segment, except for the Subaru Impreza that has an all-wheel-drive standard.
Release Date and Price
The first spy shots of the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback came out, and it seems that the next-generation will receive only mild changes. Reportedly, the upcoming prototype was spied testing in Japan last week, providing a sleek and simple design.
