The forthcoming 2021 Honda City eHEV Sport Hybrid sedan has been unveiled, and it will be firstly released in India. If you didn’t know, the new-generation Honda City was launched earlier this year, and it was gotten new colors and some mechanical changes. However, unlike the standard version, the eHEV Sport Hybrid model will bring plenty of novelties.
Honda revealed a new sedan system, and according to them, it will be a combination of an electric motor and a petrol engine. The first photos of the 2021 Honda City eHEV Sport Hybrid reveal plenty of similar cues that we saw recently on the RS model. Generally, a hybrid sedan has its own styling that is unique. It includes a beautiful front fascia dominated with a honeycomb grille, an updated front bumper, and newly shaped headlights.
It also has a black boot-lid spoiler, e:HEV badge on the boot lid, 16-inch dual tone alloys, a rear diffuser, and much more. Overall, as you can see, plenty of novelties are following the new hybrid model.
The Honda City eHEV Sport Hybrid is the new range-topping model in India. Moreover, compared to the regular City model, Honda has brought some additional goodies to the Hybrid.
First of all, comfort is better, and the manufacturer uses more upscale materials. On top of that, the new Honda City eHEV Sport Hybrid includes steering wheel paddles, faux leather, suede upholstery along with red stitching, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support, and an electronic parking brake. India’s new hybrid model will also get plenty of features from the Sensing suite. This model includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, automatic high-beam, lane-keeping assist, and lane centering assist. It also comes with the latest Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot camera.

As mentioned, the new 2021 Honda City eHEV Sport Hybrid uses an electric motor and a petrol engine. According to Honda, the electric motor can produce 110 horses and 253 Nm of max torque. However, 1.5L Atkinson-cycle DOHC i-VTEC engine gives additional power of 100 horses. Unlike the regular model, the Hybrid uses a direct drive setup for transmission, and it powers all wheels.
Release Date and Price
Honda has confirmed debut of the City eHEV Sport Hybrid in India during 2021. From many speculations, the new model will cost $25.000, which is significantly higher than the standard City.
However, consider that Hybrid has many novelties, including the much more economical engine, the price is more than affordable.
