Few months ago Honda Pilot was spied testing, featuring a completely new look. This three-row SUV is family-friendly, providing fantastic comfort. It also comes with a potent 3.5-liter V6 powertrain, producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
2022 Honda Pilot Touring Upgrades Over the Standard Versions
Besides its handsome appearance, the new 2022 Honda Pilot Touring also offers many improvements over the standard model, mostly inside. Of course, some small outside visual upgrades are available, making this SUV more competitive.
First of all, Touring trim front fascia includes a more stylish grille, featuring LED headlights. Also, it comes standard with a roof rails that are still optional on the lower trims. On top of that, unlike the standard model that uses a 18-inch wheels, the Touring offers bigger 20″ machined aluminum wheels.
Interior Features

2022 Honda Pilot Powertrain Specs
All trims, including the 2022 Honda Pilot Touring, will use the same engine. Like the previous model, the new one employs a sweetly refined 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of producing a healthy 280 horsepower. This unit comes with a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission. It comes with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) system, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional with a terrain management system.
On top of that, Honda Pilot also includes a stop/start feature that turns off the engine at idle. Of course, if this becomes irritating to you, there is an option to disable it. Towing is decent, and this SUV can get a maximum tow of around 3,500 with an FWD system. However, Pilot is rated to tow 5,000 pounds with AWD models.
Release Date and Price
The new 2022 Honda Pilot Touring will be available to purchase sometime next year. Unlike the standard model, this trim level featuring many upgrades. It looks more attractive, and it includes all features inside that you cannot imagine.
The entry-level Pilot LX has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $32,250, plus a destination charge of $1,120. However, just below Elite trim, Touring starts at $44,040, offering plenty of amenities for invested money. Honda Pilot has many rivals in its segment, including Toyota Highlander, Subaru Ascent, Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Traverse, and Volkswagen Atlas.
