2024 Honda Accord Coupe Comeback Rumors

Back in the day, the Accord Coupe was one of the most attractive mainstream mid-size cars, with its attractive look and capable V6 engine. Unfortunately, the Japanese manufacturer killed the Accord Coupe some time ago and kept the sedan version in production only. However, this could change with the arrival of the 11th generation. The new model already had a premiere and some sources suggest that the company is also working on a two-door version, which would come as the 2024 Honda Accord Coupe.

At this point, the officials are still quiet, so we can’t say if this model is happening for sure or not. Still, that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate about the possible design characteristics of the revived body style. In any case, make sure to take the following paragraphs with a reserve.

2024 Honda Accord Coupe Design

Although there is still no official information about the 2024 Honda Accord Coupe, some things are pretty easy to predict. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the platform, which would be the same one that underpins the new sedan version. You may count on the same chassis setup, which has been improved with this redesign and no Accord handles even better than before.

The wheelbase would be the same, though the coupe iteration would probably feature shorter overhangs, which would make it look sportier and more aggressive. Of course, we would expect to see the implementation of the model’s new design language, which looks more elegant than before, with slightly more conservative aesthetical solutions compared to the previous generation.

Interior

Of course, one of the main distinctive features of the 2024 Honda Accord Coupe would be its cabin layout. With the 2-door layout, we would see a typical 2+2 seating configuration. we presume that the second row wouldn’t be as spacious as the one in the sedan, but should still be quite functional.

In terms of the dashboard design, things shouldn’t be much different compared to the standard sedan version. Therefore, we expect to see the same layout that was presented recently, with an elegant dash design that takes some inspiration from models like Civic or CR-V, but brings everything to a higher level, whether it’s about aesthetics, materials, or overall build. quality.

Trim Levels and Features

We presume that things would be pretty similar to the sedan version. This could even include the same trim level organization. That would mean the following versions: LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport L, Touring etc.

Base models are expected to feature a smaller 7-inch infotainment screen, while the bigger 12.3-inch unit should be offered in more expensive variants. On the other hand, a digital 10.2-inch instrument cluster should be standard in all versions, just like things like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, along with other connectivity features. Higher trim levels should also offer a 6-inch head-up display, as well as a premium 12-speaker audio system.

In terms of safety, all models should come standard with things like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control etc.

2024 Honda Accord Coupe Engines

So far, the company announced two powertrain options for the new Accord. Unfortunately, there is no word about the super-peppy 2.0-liter turbo-four, but only about the smaller turbo-four and a hybrid powertrain. Still, we would expect the coupe version to offer something more powerful.

Meanwhile, the base Accord sedan comes with a familiar 1.5-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, which is plenty enough for daily commuting. The engine comes paired with a CVT, which also does a pretty decent job. On the other hand, the hybrid version features a new system, based on a familiar 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine, with a combined output of 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque.

2024 Honda Accord Coupe Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2024 Honda Accord Coupe could arrive already in the second half of 2023, with a starting price of around 30.000 dollars. Still, the officials are still quiet, so take these paragraphs with a big reserve.
