The 2022 Honda Element has been rumored, and many believe that the new generation might be introduced next year. Also, if this happens, the reborn of this popular SUV would provide numerous improvements. That means we can expect better styling and the same traditional boxy shape that we used to see.
In the engine department, many popular websites listed that the next Element would be powered by the same powertrain we saw under the CR-V model. On the other hand, we think that it might get a hybrid engine or even some electrifications.

The exterior design of the 2022 Honda Element will be enhanced with some new elements. However, it will most likely use a mix of traditional styling and the new one. We also believe that it might be made on the new platform that will support some sort of electrification. As expected, there will be included changes, but the base shape will remain the same. Definitively, we can expect a more modern and spacious cabin compared to the outgoing model. Honda is the automaker that makes very durable cabins, and we assume that the 2022 Honda Element will not be an exception. Generally, we think that it will be more competitive, so prepare for some drastic changes inside. First of all, it will definitively add more upscale materials and some of the latest technology that we saw on recently introduced Honda models.
Most likely, it will borrow some cues from the CR-V model. So, expect standard features like Honda Sensing, dual-zone automatic climate control, 6-way manual-adjust driver’s seat, rearview camera, cruise control system, 4-speaker/160-watt audio system with a 6-inch color screen, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
2022 Honda Element Powertrain Specs
We don’t have any information regarding the engine of the new 2022 Honda Element. However, many believe that the next-gen model will deploy an utterly different powertrain that we saw. The latest rumors indicate that Honda Element might get the same powertrain as the CR-V model. That means we could see a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that produces under the CR-V model 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. We personally believe that it might get a new hybrid system or even an electric motor.
By the way, the current model is still available with a Honda’s all-aluminum DOHC 2.4 liter four-liter engine that produces 166 horsepower and 161 lb.-ft. of torque.
Release Date and Price
The new 2022 Honda Element will be stylish and more dog friendly for sure. According to some gossips, the next-generation will probably arrive at some point in the next year as the 2022 model. At this moment, Honda didn’t confirm noting officially, so we are still waiting for more information regarding the engine and price.
The current model comes with a front-wheel-drive system, and it starts at $22,000. Also, higher trim that comes with the AWD system and some optional equipment costs $25,000.
I am a 2003 Element owner, love it and looking for the re-intro 2020-1 model. I know what I want and know what I paid and know what I am willing to spend. I want a dealer who knows this and will offer me the best price out the door and be ready to make a fast sale. I dont want any bickering I want the best price and if I see that I can get it the sale will be complete that same day. If I have to haggle I will search other dealers and find the price I am willing to pay. So far Brewster Honda has offered the best prices in the past so you know I have done my Home work.
