However, in Japan, China, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and the Americas this model is known as Honda Fit. Now, let’s move on. The upcoming 2020 Honda Jazz is one of the most space-efficient subcompact hatchbacks.
Also, under the hood is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, that can accomplish every task with ease. But, the main advantage of new Jazz is the spacious cabin, fuel efficiency, and generous cargo capacity.
2020 Honda Jazz Changes
All 2020 Honda Jazz model will come equipped with the Honda Sensing Suite. This technology includes Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Also, automatic high-beam headlights are now available. As for the visual aspect of the vehicle, there’s been a change in paint options. New white paint named Platinum Pearl White is in, and White Orchid Pearl is out of the picture.
Redesign
Back in 2013, when the third generation of Honda Jazz introduced to the automotive world, this 5-door hatchback looks very slab-sided. The Jazz fans waited almost six years to see the changes. Now, 2020 Honda Jazz will come with a cleaner visual appearance, more chiseled sides, and modern design language. Moreover, a brand-new steeply canted windshield and a sporty rooftop spoiler will give the vehicle a more distinctive and unique look.
The new Jazz brings a rich color palette as well. The customers will have to choose between eight equally vibrant colors. The base model comes with 15-inches steel wheels with covers. Upper trims offer black wheels, extra chrome for the grille, fog lights, and liftgate. The dimensions of the new model will slightly shift toward more wider angles.
Interior
The interior of the upcoming 2020 Honda Jazz is absolutely fantastic. Where else you can see such a small vehicle that can easily accommodate tall folks and on top of that, offers a great amount of cargo space? The engineers from Honda came up with a very clever design idea. The fuel tank is placed beneath the front row of seats. So, there’s a lot of free space elsewhere.
Moreover, excellent Magic Seat feature splits 60/40 and folds easily so the owner may storage some chunky gear inside. For example, a bicycle can easily fit in. The cabin is full of soft-touch material, they decorate the whole interior of this 5-seat subcompact vehicles as well. Also, very attractive silver-accent trim can also be found on the dashboard.
As for the equipment, Honda Jazz includes a rearview camera, automatic headlights, a 5-inch touchscreen, one-touch up/down driver’s window and much more. Higher trims add leather-trimmed seats.
Engine
2020 Honda Jazz will offer only one engine option. It’s a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder powertrain that can produce 130 hp with 128 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to variable-valve timing and control, this unit makes topnotch results at 6,800-rpm.
Moreover, the 1.5-liter drivetrain is very efficient. The CVT model returns 33 mpg in the city, 40 mpg on a highway, and 36 mpg combined.
2020 Honda Jazz Release Date and Price
The forthcoming 2020 Honda Jazz will have four different trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L. The starting price for the entry-level Jazz LX is just above $17,000. That price includes $900 of destination charge. However, if you want the CVT that will add an extra $800.
Furthermore, Sport trim will carry the starting price of $18,400. The EX costs around $19,000. The most expensive model will be the EX-L, it starts at $21,500. With these prices, the main competition to 2020 Jazz will be the Toyota Yaris, Ford Fiesta, and Kia Rio.
The new model will make a public debut at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. But, the sales won’t start before the summer of 2020.
