The forthcoming 2022 Honda Odyssey Touring is one of the most equipped models. The Touring trim is just below the Elite, offering great packages for the money. For 2022, this variant will provide more features than the other rivals in the segment.
The Honda Odyssey ranks near the top of the minivan class, offering a beautiful design and no less comfortable high-class interior. In the same category are models such as the Kia Sedona and Chrysler Pacifica, but eider of them can’t match Odyssey. Unfortunately, the only department where this minivan lag behind its rivals is the engine. Like before, it’s powered by a single powertrain that consists of a 3.5-litre V6 providing acceptable 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
2022 Honda Odyssey Touring Exterior
Like the regular minivan, the 2022 Honda Odyssey Touring will keep the same attractive design. However, considering that this is one of the equipped trims, expect some mild upgrades in terms of styling. First of all, the Honda Odyssey IS still unmistakably a minivan, featuring sliding doors on both sides, LED headlights/daytime running lights/taillights, and no less attractive front grille with chrome accents around.
This minivan also uses very stylish 18-inch alloy wheels on the lower trims, while 19-inch alloys are available on Touring and Elite models.
The cabin of 2022 Honda Odyssey is quite versatile and modern. Like before, the entry-level LX can accommodate seven occupants, while the rest of the range will take eight. The cabin is roomy, and cargo space stretches from 32.8 to 158 cubic feet. As for the techs, the latest Odyssey features standard equipment such as several driver assistance features, power-adjustable front seats (8-way for the driver, 4-way for the passenger), and active noise cancellation.
However, more features are available choosing upper trims like Touring of Elite. Both models offers heated/ventilated front seats, an in-cabin communications system, rear seat monitoring, rear-seat entertainment system, leather seating surfaces, Wi-Fi, wireless charging, and a 12-volt outlet in the cargo area.
2022 Honda Odyssey Powertrain Specs
Under the hood, the latest 2022 Honda Odyssey Touring uses the same engine as the regular model. The 3.5-litre V6 is still concurrent, producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the drive goes solely to the front wheels.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn’t still offer an AWD system, even as optional. So, anyone seeking a minivan with all-wheel drive should consider eider the Toyota Sienna or Chrysler Pacifica.
Price, Release Date
Starting with LX trim, the 2022 Honda Odyssey has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of less than $33,500. However, the range-topping Touring and Elite model ranges from $40,000 to almost $50,000. In addition, all models are very well equipped, even the standard trim level.
Compared to rivals in the same segment, the Odyssey cost less than the 2022 Kia Carnival and Chrysler Pacifica. The new Honda Odyssey will reportedly arrive sometime in the year, most than likely at the end.
