2022 Acura MDX Hybrid Exterior Updates
The all-new generation 2022 Acura MDX looks more muscle than the previous one. However, it still features the same attractive Diamond Pentagon grille and Acura’s JewelEye LED headlights. Overall, the design is recognized, and we like the effect of the grille, which overboard the styling of the other luxury brands like BMW and Lexus.
On top of that, the MDX hybrid comes with 21-inch wheels, which is a great upgrade considering that the base model offers standard wheels of 19-inches. Moreover, compared to the outgoing model, the new MDX’s wheelbase is 3 inches longer, and the vehicle is lower and wider. This SUV is about 16.4 feet long, and it has a curb weight ranging from 4,471 to 4,486 pounds.
Cabin Features
With the new 2022 Acura MDX hybrid, you can’t go wrong. This model offers excellent comfort and a spacious cabin with three rows of seats. Generally, there is plenty of room inside, and you’ll find more quality materials than on the regular one. Some of the standard features that come standard with this model are twin 12.3-inch digital displays, ventilated front seats, heated second-row captain’s chairs, upgraded Milano leather seats, a heated steering wheel, two third-row USB ports, and a head-up display, and a surround-view parking camera system.
Also, the MDX hybrid offers more standard driver-assist features. It includes a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and lane departure warning. The base model also includes the AcuraWatch suite of safety features, featuring collision mitigation and braking system, lane keep assist, road departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.
2022 Acura MDX Hybrid System and Fuel Economy
As we mentioned, the new 2022 Acura MDX hybrid consists of a 3.0-liter V6 mated to three electric motors. Thanks to this combination, the hybrid unit can produce a combined 321 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque.
Like the previous model, the new one still uses the same seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. The Sport Hybrid accelerates swiftly, and it produces ample power. The MDX Sport Hybrid is also efficient, delivering 26 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Generally, that’s good for an SUV of its size.
How Much Does the 2022 Acura MDX Hybrid Cost?
Like the regular model, the new 2022 Acura MDX Hybrid should arrive at some point this year. Most likely that we can expect it in the second half of the year.
The new Acura MDX Hybrid looks better than before, offering excellent handling, a gentle ride, and a capable hybrid powertrain. On the other hand, it also has more cargo room behind the third row than its rivals. The MDX Sport Hybrid’s base trim retails for $52,900, while with Advance Package price will jump to $59,650.
