The well-known Japanese carmaker presents at the last Shangai Motor Show the concept of what will be the 2020 Honda Crider. By the look of it, the new model will be a dazzling visual combination of the Honda Accord and the second generation of Crider. The interior will heavily rely on a more luxurious sedan, while the exterior will offer some pretty unique features and interesting details.
Furthermore, under the hood will be trusty 1.8-liter petrol engine, paired with a standard 5-speed transmission. In the past, Honda Crider was sold only for the customers in Asia. But now, the company will go and try to conquer wider markets and get recognition from the European fans, as well as the customers in the States.
2020 Honda Crider Redesign and Concept
Over the years, the Cider becomes one of the main models for the ever-growing Asian market. In the beginning, Crider was designed to fill the gap between the Civic and Accord. But now, with the announced release of 2020 Honda Crider, we think it’s gonna be more important than just a filler. At first glance, you can notice the well-know design cues of Honda’s compact sedans.
The overall exterior styling is more aggressive and visually more ready to compete, than the previous version. Moreover, the dimensions of the new model will be a little bit larger as well. Specs
Under the hood of upcoming 2020 Honda Cider will be a very potent unit. It is a familiar 1.8-liter naturally aspired petrol engine. This unit can develop 139 hp with 126 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission will be a 5-speed manual.
However, there’s opt for the CVT gearbox as well. The famous Japanese company announced that they will add the 2.0-liter powertrain to the Crider mode shortly after the new model makes debut in China.
2020 Honda Crider Release Date and Price
The previous version of Crider was distributed only for the Asian market. But now, the company is willing to present new 2020 Honda Crider to the international audience. This model has a lot in common with the version from 2016 that was pretty popular in Asia.
So, expect a serious amount of upgrades, improvements, and alteration. Also, the company will go with a modern and appealing design. With all of that, we believe that the new Crider may record decent results. However, the release date is not confirmed yet.
